it's been a long time since i posted something to Illustration Friday. i love the sea. i love the sound it makes, i love the salt, i love the sand, i love everything about it.
i started drawing this last friday but it wasn't finished, so i played with it in photoshop to put it here... but it didn't come out very well. i still need some practice...
i did both drawings at the same time. it's like the first one is a translation and simplification of the second.

It looks really interesting. I like the moon with the stars hanging from it kind of like a stage prop.
The moon and hanging stars was the first thing that caught my eye too!
I love the movement and detail in the water- you captured the rushing energy of the waves really well.
